Professional Development and Sustainability

Stay connected with WAI for upcoming opportunities to take your instrument knowledge to the next level!

We Are Instrumental is committed to supporting music educators year-round through expert-led instrument workshops that qualify for Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) credits. These workshops provide hands-on training across various instruments, offering teachers the chance to build their own instrument repair skills and knowledge. Led by industry professionals, each session is designed to enhance practical knowledge helping educators stay in control of their own instrument inventories. A damaged instrument that would take six weeks to be sent out for repair, could instead be mended by the trained teacher in one day. By participating, teachers not only enrich their own knowledge but also improve the sustainability of their inventories by making themself an in-house quick repair resource.

Instrument Repair Workshops for Students

WAI also offers these expert led workshops to students! You can learn essential repair skills, from fixing broken strings to maintaining brass and woodwind instruments. Participants will not only learn how to care for their own instruments but also gain valuable technical skills that can be applied in future careers in music or instrument repair. By fostering a deeper understanding of how instruments work, these workshops empower students to become more independent musicians and take pride in maintaining their equipment.
