Music Summit

On October 6th, 2023, there was a major flashpoint of musical access. Almost 400 kids grades 7-12 from 19 different schools came to Ticonderoga High School for WAI's first Music Summit. Thirteen professionals in flute, clarinet, sax, horn, trumpet, trombone, violin, viola, cello, percussion, and voice worked in a group-lesson environment from 11am-3pm.  While students were working with the guest artists, their dedicated teachers were learning instrument repair with our master technicians and receiving continuing education credit from NYS for their work. You can imagine all the moving parts on such a big day. The vibe in the entire building was electric!
